Join Zoe from Abbott Ceramics in our cosy woodland tipi for a hands on session making your very own mug.
Using the slab technique, Zoe will guide you through making your very own mug from stoneware clay and then you’ll decorate it using coloured slip - a really sloppy & fun clay!
We’ll use foraged leaves & newspaper as templates to create a layered stencil. Then we’ll peel back the stencils to reveal our designs, which is really satisfying!
During the course of the workshop you will be provided with refreshments, and your Afternoon Tea will be served just after your pottery making session. The workshop includes materials for your mug, and for it to be glazed in a clear glossy glaze & fired.
Afterwards, we will carefully look after your creations and take them to the studio to be glazed & fired. You can then collect them from the studio.
